start with the basics

As a new blogger I found it difficult to make up my mind on where to start. The more I thought about it the more I realized I just needed to start.
A bit of background....... i've been working in the Photovoltaic Solar Energy industry for 2 years and have fallen in love with the idea of saving the planet one roof at a time. I understand that it will take years for solar to have a huge impact, but helping just one person realize their financial and environemental goals come to fruition is reason enough for me.
By installing just one solar energy system on someones home we can prevent thousands of pounds of greenhouse gases from enetering our atmosphere. Multiply that over several years and incorporate a larger number of home owners, businesses and entire countries joining in the race and you have a significant impact on our global polution.
Now I know some of you are sceptics and some of you are fanatics. I count myself in between. I see both the environamental and financial benefits as attractive reasons for going solar. I have helped people realize their financial futures because they have taken control of their energy consumption and saved thousands of dollars doing so. Parents who now see enough money from their paychecks every month to put a little extra into little Tommy's college fund. Retired cupples who see the benefit of energy independance when living on a fixed income. Business owners who can now invest more of their earnings into growing their business and providing more jobs for their community rather than their energy bills. I have helped the concerned citizen feel more comfortable in their homes because they know they aren't dependant on the dirty, polution causing energy that has been fed into their homes for years.
I really look forward to continuing to provide insight into the thoughts and ideas I have about alternative energy and how we can use it in both the environment and our economics. Our country is in need of new ideas. ideas that spread wealth and happiness, all while preserving the beauty that is our planet. I am hear to just provide a single opinion and I hope you find it worth passing on. I look forward to reading other bloggers ideas about energy and learning where I am wrong in my assumptions and ideas.
